I'm writing a book for NaNoWriMo, and I need to figure out if the UK is closer to the Atlantic ocean or Artic... because I'm not sure what it's bordered by e.e because I'm a derp.

Apparently google says 'The North Sea' o.O; supposedly an arm of the Atlantic Ocean....

It's smack dab in the middle of either ocean, though technically, according to maritime charts, it's still the North Atlantic...that help?

well officially there's no such thing as the arctic ocean, just the arctic region. And seeing as the UK is surrounded on all sides by the atlantic ocean... I'd go with that.
And yeah, the north sea is an extension of the atlantic. it's the part that connects the UK with good ol' Belgium.

or with germany... the most famous connection is the point calais-dover withthe tunnel under the sea and all.
err calais is in france not in germany of course
