The Shattered Amulet
Several millennia ago, a cabal of Light Side Force users imbued an amber colored gem with their combined powers, creating an artifact to protect their sacred temple.
The amulet, worn suspended from twisted gold, was given to a temple protector, one pure of heart and without malice to use as a last defense against a darkside invasion.
The artifact was rumored to be too powerful for ordinary use and was locked away in a vault, only to be used in the direst of circumstances.
The amulet was imbuded with the powers of the greatest Jedi of the era.
Clairvoyance, illusions, Force manifestations.
The wearer of the amulet could, at will and without much effort, manipulate energy in any given space to create an exact replica of the wearer. These doppelgangers cannot be detected via the Force or any kind of equipment unless the wearer gives the doppelganger their own force signature or wills for them to be detected.
Doppelgangers would share semi-consciousness with the wearer of the amulet, thus the wearer would be intune with each doppelganger and could direct it's actions with a mere thought.
The amulets existance was discovered by the Sith and eventually by sheer numbers, the Sith were able to steal away the amulet for themselves.
It's power was corrupted and twisted by each dark user and over time the amulet had been fought for and stolen again and eventually it's existance became a myth.
The location of the amulet has been unknown for many millennia...
Rules for possessing the amulet:
1. It can only be used for a single month.
2. It cannot be stolen from the wearer. Once the wearer slides the amulet around their neck, the amber becomes imbedded in their flesh.
3. The user can create up to 7 doppelgangers at any given time.
4. A doppelganger is an exact replica of the user. Flesh and bones, etc. (In essence, it is the ability to NPC 7 clones of yourself at one time)
5. Doppelgangers can be created by mere thought. It takes one rp'ed line to create a doppelganger. Each additional doppelganger will take a rp'ed line to create.
6. All NPC rules in regards to fighting must be followed. ie: One cannot attack someone with 7 doppelgangers at once.
7. Doppelgangers can disappear with a mere thought.
