Okay so I thought I’d give this one another go. I requested something similar once in ye olde days of MSN groups, but it just fell under the “no fleets” thing because it came along with about 4 other ships. Still, Coco could do with a bit bigger ship then his current frigate, so here goes:
The Dullahan
The Dullahan is a Nebula Star Destroyer class warship with a variety of weapons and features. A lot of them are standard to a Nebula class, but some are not. It looks like a Nebula as well, which can easily be found on, you guessed it, wookiepedia.
The following is all standard off of wookieepedia
Length: 1040 meters
Hyperdrive: class 1.0, backup class 10
Armament: Heavy dual turbolasers (40: 10 fore, 10 aft, 10 port, 10 starboard)
Turbolasers (40: 10 fore, 10 aft, 10 port, 10 starboard)
Ion cannons (20: 5 fore, 5 aft, 5 port, 5 starboard)
Assault concussion missile tubes (8, turreted), 30 missiles each
Tractor beam projectors (8: 3 fore, 2 port, 2 starboard, 1 aft)
Complement: 60 starfighters. 20 k-wings, 20 dreamcatchers and 20 soulsnatchers(already have those, they were requested in ye olde days. Dreamcatcher is a fighter based on disabeling and capture, soulsnatcher is a dogfighter equal to roughly an x-wing, K-wing is a very heavy bomber, downside is it is very slow and has no hyperdrive.)
And here we get to the custom stuff.
Tactical hyperdrive unit “Bifrost”: This hyperdrive allows for short, tactical hyperspace jumps in combat.
“Heimdall” control systems: control systems for the Bifrost hyperdrive. Allows for quick and safe short-range hyperspace jumps.
Tactical hydrogen bombs: rather then proton torpedoes, which are essentially nukes, the Dullahan packs tactical H-bombs. These are 50 megatons in destructive force. This is existing technology today. 50 megaton bombs have been detonated, it is estimated that current tech would allow for 100 megaton bombs. I’m requesting half that.
Sensory cloak: the Dullahan can cloak itself from sensors, but this requires all active sensors to be disengaged as these would light up the ship like a Christmas tree.
Heavy sensors: the Dullahan can make very good sensor sweeps of enemy ships and the planet it may be orbiting. It won’t penetrate specially shielded areas, but anything else is scanned with very good resolution.
Custom schematics: though the Dullahan looks like a Star Destroyer with an open and exposed bridge, what appears to be the bridge is in fact the long range communications array. The actual bridge lies in the center of the ship, all information is relayed with cameras which are placed all over the hull. This gives commanders a 360 degree view of the ship while not having any need for easily destroyable windows.
Firewall missile defense: the Dullahan can launch a barrage of tiny explosives when it detects incoming missiles. this creates a wall of explosions which detonate them prematurely. This stops a lot of missiles, but not all of them when used in a barrage. This feature has previously been approved on another ship.
That’s about it. Thanks for reviewing.
Laters.
