sorry for the delay, here is the reply.
bracers: fine with following stipulations
- one saber hit per bracer per battle. Second hit destroys them as well as your wrist. This may seem underpowered but please note that this is actually standard for full body mando armor and that saber resistant armor pieces are rarely given to Force users because they already have a saber-resistant weapon (a saber) and can call on Force powers in combat. NFU's will be given armor much more easily to help them take on Force Users in a fight.
- unlimited resistance to vibroblades and normal fixed blades like swords
- 3 hit limit on blasterbolts with standard cooldown rule
- note that these bracers cannot be used to prevent a damage call on your arm/wrist after a bad defense. People can still sever your hand by aiming just above or below the bracer. What you can of course do is use this in an active defense i.e. using them to block an incomming blade.
Ship: fine as is
dual phase saber: assuming you mean a saber that can extend then yes with the following stipulations
- only one dual phase saber for now
- cannot extend to more than 2 times the length of a regular saber
- a dual phase saber needs one turn to extend/retract. This doesn’t mean you have to stand there and wait of course. It simply means that say you’re in a fight and you state you’re extending the blade and make an attack, then the attack this turn still uses standard length. Next turn you’ll have fully extended the blade and can use it to its full potential. Same for retraction: if you state retracting the length and make a defense, be aware that your blade is still extended for the remainder of this turn.
- be aware that having such a long saber comes with its own weaknesses. A saber can cut through just about anything, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t encounter resistance when slicing through solid objects. Therefore, there’s some movements that become a lot harder or even impossible with an extended dual-phase which you could do with a regular blade. For example: if someone attacks with a regular horizontal strike, swinging in your own extended saber vertically downwards to block would be an iffy defense. Why? Because it would require you to cut through the ground. Cutting though the ground just to get your blade into position would slow it down a lot. Too much to get it into blocking position without sustaining at least some damage. Of course stabbing it downwards into position, moving it when it isn’t extended, dodging, moving to the side to buy yourself time as you move your extended blade, etc. are all still perfectly valid defenses. Just be aware that your blade is very long and while it can cut through the ground without a problem, it is slowed down by it.
